SINGLE-LEVEL, OPEN-TOP Cage? You NEED this!

If you have a single level cage and you want your guinea pigs to potty in one area, then the secret sauce to making that happen is to work with their natural instincts.

No matter what bedding and configuration you have, you really should provide some top coverage for guinea pigs for their comfort and sense of well-being. One or two hidey's in a cage really isn't enough to provide the sense of comfort and security they naturally desire.

Can you potty train guinea pigs? Well, kind of sort of not really, BUT, you can entice them with "feng shui!" Put a roof over their head so that like all animals, including humans, they can feel safe and secure while eating and pottying. They'll use it naturally.

Must Have! Cavy Canopy

Whether you have a single level or a loft, the cavy canopy is a must have to go over your piggies eating area. With my first cage I opted not to get one bc I didn’t think it was necessary as I had the kitchen on the bottom level, under the loft. However as I learned more about my piggies, & their personalities I made changes. GP’s like to eat their hay in covered areas. I also moved their kitchen to the loft so they could have more playroom. So when I ordered my 2nd cage, I decided to order a canopy for BOTH cages as I knew the kitchen area was going in the loft on cage 2. To my surprise, they came with these bendy things, so you can OPEN & CLOSE it!! A true upgrade from using a towel to cover their kitchen area. The canopy is in my top 3 must haves. Even if you have a single level cage, you will love the canopy vs a towel!
