Full-Opening French Door Kit
PLEASE NOTE: The French Door kit cannot be used with an OFFSET loft, a narrow loft---OR a single level cage. The double-doors require a structure above for stability.
Having trouble cleaning underneath your wide loft?
The NEW French Door kit uses two Quarter-Round Mini Grids and your existing two 14x14 grids as the doors. It can also be used with a stand.
It is installed directly under the wide loft on your existing cage. No "extra" support needed. The kit uses your existing standard grids as the actual doors and comes with two quarter-round mini grids, cable ties, and a bungee cord to keep the double doors closed.
Optionally, we provide rivets, a 3" x 6" piece of translucent coroplast, and velcro for making the "drawbridge" happen.
Wall-Cut required for Drop-Down, or ...
If you are using this door for a piggy exit, you will need to cut the wall in your coroplast to create an opening, or you can use our Piggyback Ramp if you prefer not to cut your existing cage wall.
Includes
- (2) Quarter Round Mini Grids in Black or White (NOTE: These two mini grids replace your existing two grids under the loft. The grids you're replacing are used as the actual "doors".)
- (4) 1.25" Hinges
- Cable ties
- Bungee Cord
- Coroplast piece, velcro and rivets for optionally cutting your cage wall into a drawbridge.
- Instructions for installing the French Doors as well as the Drawbridge.
COMPATIBILITY ISSUES
The FRONT French Door Kit is strictly for improving access under a DIRECT-STACKED WIDE LOFT. For better access, it is recommended to OFFSET the Wide Loft instead of using French Doors.
FRONT French doors CANNOT be used with either a SINGLE-LEVEL CAGE, NARROW LOFT, or an OFFSET WIDE LOFT.
You can slide out a Cavy Bistro or a Cavy Cafe kitchen (as shown) but the Cavy Grazer kitchen is too wide to slide out of the opening.
However, the END French Door Kit WILL work with the Cavy Grazer and/or a Narrow Loft.
