I can't see on the site where to order the cute yellow submarine cover for the long ramp. It would be nice to have them available in other colors. Super cute idea! Like the big lady bugs made out of coroplast on the lady bug cage that were not sold separately, sigh...

Hi Nizza, Our apologies. It was the Holiday weekend and we had a lot to get done. It's up now and linked on the post above. It's available in all of our Coroplast colors, of course -- all 16 of them. The Lady Bugs (prior month) are a bit complicated, but we'll have those up later in the week. Thanks for asking.

I was thinking that using the plastic hinges would be a better way to attach the yellow submarine cover to the ramp even if it was just on the ends. My guinea pig ladies like to pop their heads up in tunnels and the cover might pop off. Other pigs might like to too. I think having a covered ramp is a good idea for your shop and lessens the need for the side attachments which sometimes make it hard to get around when you are cleaning. Using windows around the hay area is also a great idea to lessen piggy messes. Just some suggestions. I really like it when you do big cage creations instead of small ones. I always feel sorry for real pigs that are in 2x3 cages. They are just not big enough!

Hi Nizza, I think you'll find the Coro Cover will work just fine without any attachments. It will stay in place and the walls are really too tall for them to head-butt them out of the way. Simple is always best and this allows for super easy removal for cleaning -- which is ALWAYS JOB ONE in cage design, as you know. We have the Backsplash for helping maintain hay within the cage, but yes, using our Pigture Windows there can be a good idea as well. The Backsplash doesn't have the grid gap that the windows do, but that would be minor. When you are cleaning out messy kitchen areas (where the hay is), the acrylic windows would likely get a little more beat up from the vinegar or any other cleaners sprayed in the area and may not look as nice and pristine as they age. Just something to keep in mind. I hear you on the big cage layouts. We absolutely prefer them as well. However, we have to be sensitive to people who simply do not have the space, resources or budget and still want to do what they can for their guinea pigs. That's why we tend to show cages with creative levels and additional enrichment when we feature the smaller cages. Thank you for the feedback and for caring!
